Considering I missed the fangirl deadline, I have to have SOMEWHERE to post the rants I thought up! *looks heavenward* Please Thoth, don't let me be the only one... ;D So....rant for...um...Alucard!
*long inhalation*
He's so very nifty, considering that he's supposed to be an inhuman beast, and he is, and he's very, very good at killing things which is true (sort of) to the original Tepes, and I love his bright red eyes (which I call 'wine-red' in my own fanfics) and how can you not fall for those really big guns, despite the compensation issues they bring up and the way he laughs when he's got someone under his boot is just absolutely spify and when he's faced with a decision of break free of his leash or save his master's life he goes for the loyal reaction and you can really tell that he and Integra have a strong friend/partnership based on mutual respect going on and I think that could lead to a LOT more but even if it doesn't it's worth watching the anime over and over again just to hear him say 'Goddamn punk!', and I love that line and I think he's so clever the way he uses his powers to play with FREAK vampires and fangirls (tribute to Erin here!) and I can totally see him waiting years and years to turn Integra cause that would be the ultimate triumph over the Hellsing family especially considering what they might have put him through, like silver chains (tribute to the original Blood Knight here!) and he's just so incredibly COOL!
*falls over, gasping*

I read just a little of Blood Knight, then had to sit down and read all of the original one that was discontinued and keep up with the current one. It was really, really good. I think my favorite from the original was where Alucard was in the white suit kicking back on top of the mansion. ;D It looked totally spify.

I love both doujinshis the same!
Now, don't get me started on Alucard 'cause I'll never stop!
...or I'll just pass out from hyperventilation! ;D

*evil grin, waves picture of Alucard in front of Heavy Metal Queen* Trust me, you cannot speak TOO much about Alucard. My boyfriend adores Big Red, and I hear his praises just about every. single. day. I love the creepy vamp meself, but unlike some people, I can like Vampire Hunter D too!

Oh man, Alucard is so cool and so spiffy and so awesome! I love his pimpin' clothes and his cool smirk and the way he carries himself! Oh, I just can't get enough of him! I can't wait until Erin loads more chapters of volume 6 and what Alucard does next! Alot of people think manga Alucard is a monster, but I just think he's really cool! Especially the way he slaughters his enemies! Anime Alucard is bishounen but manga Alucard is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY more bishounen, especially when he wears that spiffy outfit in volume 3 and casts his sex beam (I wouldn't mind if he casted a sex beam my way!)! I love the way he seems so cool and collected in the heat of battle and...and...*catches breath*...oh, he is just so cool! I actually wish that a live-action movie would be made just so I can see what he'd look like in real life! It'd be awesome, I'm sure!
*breathing heavily*
That's it for now, I think.

Anime Alucard is bishounen but manga Alucard is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY more bishounen He's not bishounen! Bishounen translates to "beautiful boy" and is used to refer to men who look like women. Not just hot guys. Alucard is most definitly hot, but he's no bishounen. Sorry. It bugs me Here's a definition: " Trans. "beautiful boy." Bishounen are the beautiful, androgynous young men who populate shoujo manga and anime. According to Antonia Levi, bishounen characters are products of the influence of the Takarazuka (all female) theater on early shoujo manga, and are modeled after male-impersonators (10). Bishounen characters are not necessarily, but frequently, homosexual or bisexual; part of the tradition stems from the historical male-to-male distanced, non-sexual romances of samurai times (Levi 76). A sub genre of shoujo manga exists called bishounen manga which focuses on gay male romance, but instead of catering to gay males, it caters almost exclusively to heterosexual girls and women (Levi 14)."

*lets Heavy Metal Queen grab the picture* I never considered Alucard a bishonen in the definition of the term, but a lot of people use it as a catch-all for attractive guys in anime & manga. Alucard's his own kind of vastly attractive man. I actually didn't even consider him handsome until I saw vol. 3 of the manga. I saw him in that suit HMQ mentioned and blinked. All I could think is, 'Oh my god. He's hot!'

Yeah, I know, I know. He's his own bishie. I mean, come on, the man is goddamn attractive! ;D ;D ;D ;D P.S. Are we allowed to curse here?

Yeah, I know, I know. He's his own bishie. I mean, come on, the man is goddamn attractive! ;D ;D ;D ;D P.S. Are we allowed to curse here? I removed all the censors. So, yes. Unless someone complains. It doesn't bother me any as long as it's resonable. Alucard is very hot. Don't get me wrong. But I don't use the word bishonen unless I'm talking about feminine men. Alucard = hot. Especially here:

That pic reminds me of Spy vs. Spy. Maybe it's just the way his sunglasses turned out. ;D

*blinks and falls over* Wow...I thought everyone knew about Spy vs. Spy! It's a cartoon the developers of Mad TV/Magazine created, and I love the silly thing. www.leedberg.com/mad/spies/spies.html
