Her parents had Issues. It's touchy.

It's also quite possible that both Pixel and Schrö are independently developed references to the original Schrödinger's Cat experiment.
Nevertheless, it sounds like a nifty book.
For those who do get physics, A Brief Brief History of Time (http://ellielabelle.livejournal.com/273365.html) is highly amusing =)

Hm. I just looked up the uncertainty principle, and it seems I was under a common misconception. Whoops.
Still, I get nervous when people say things like "belief in one scientific theory or another is a matter of discretion". Not really. You can't just decide to stop believing in gravity, or relativity. A theory becomes a theory (as opposed to a hypothesis) when there's a system of ideas that work together, are supported by data, and expand upon or make obsolete previous theories.
Here's the thing about quantum theory: Very few people understand it. The tag line is "If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand it." Doesn't mean you get to dismiss it ^_^
It's an interesting point that only Schroe (well, and Doc, although Doc is heavily involved in the science behind it all) hasn't killed anybody yet. I don't think he's anywhere near as young as he looks, though.
My money used to be on the "Schroe provides a scary battle to top all the rest" theory, but now Hirano's running out of time to do more long battles (if indeed he stops at ten volumes).
I don't think he'll end up as Seras' pet; I think that's wishful thinking by fans ^_~ Myself included.

Actually, the Heisenberg principle makes perfect sense. To observe a particle, to see it, you have to bounce light off of it, which means at least one photon; but when the photon hits it, that'll change its direction.
Schroe (for the record, it's Schödinger or Schroedinger; if the ö character is unavailable, it gets written as oe) acts as though getting into the mansion isn't hard at all. He snarks later to fellow Millennium members about all the "work" he's done - "I went to England, got my head blown off, and I'm still here on time" - but that doesn't mean it's hard for him.
I like this idea of catching him in superposition.

Why would he need to be both male and female?
After all, he's not both cat and dog; Hirano explicitly said he was cat. It seems to me that he does have a specific, defined physical form. He can touch things, and influence their position.
Also, his ability to travel seems to have some kind of limits. Remember when he lost his Operation Seelöwe book, and had to look at the Captain's? If he were literally and constantly everywhere, he would be in the place where his book was, and be able to retrieve it, or at least look at it.
I'd love to know the exact limits of his powers.

Xu: Now that you've explained the plan, I approve a lot more =3
Although we may have to split the bi people based on the inverse of the gay/straight ratio, because otherwise you'll get a disproportionate amount, and an unfair advantage when the First Fangirl War begins.

Has fandom learned nothing? You can write RPF all you want, and make it pr0n, and draw fanart for it; but you don't put it all in a box and hand it to the RP in question. (Yes, this actually happened not too long ago ; Sorry, Xu, but I'm strictly gay no matter how girly you are ^_~

You know you're Internets Famous when you get your very own stalker =3 Any chance you could make it to Otakon? (Hirano'll be there...) Seriously, though, if we met, it would go like this: Me: Hi. You: Hi. Me: So, er... You: Well then... Me: Yeah. You: Um. (three days later, online) You (email): So I saw this thing at the con and it made me think of this idea and if we just took this and did this and did you see the other thing and Me (email): That's brilliant but we'd have to do such-and-such with it and yeah I saw that wasn't that awesome? and we totally have to figure out how to work this in and and so on

My plans:
Four years at Wheaton College in Massachusetts. Four more years somewhere else. Keeping up Shine. Starting some other comic projects. Making money off of them. Going into politics. Becoming a diplomat. Gaining a fan base. Becoming President. Promoting peace. Retiring from politics to focus on the comics full-time. Winning a few Reubens. Reading. Helping people. Having fun.

But if I'm the high priest slash prophet, where does Hirano fit in?
What about Stoker, for that matter?
