Anyone here read or write the stuff? I have to admit I've written a few pieces, though I've been moving towards original pieces lately. Here's a link to my work at www.mediaminer.org. Anyway, I find the stuff is like popcorn or sugar-coated crack (like Nippon Ichi games...I just can't put that controller down). There's a large supply of it, quite a lot is bad, and I just can't stop once I get my teeth into a decent story (granted, this applies to most non-fan works, too). I'm thinking of writing a crossover between Silent Mobius and Hellsing and I need a couple details on the Hellsing timeline. Silent Mobius is set in the mid- to late-2020s, so Integra would be a bit over fifty and Walter would be late-90-ish (or dead). If anyone can give me better numbers (and when the major events of the Hellsing timeline take place), I would be very grateful. Say...grateful enough to write you in and not kill you off. The fic would revolve around Rally borrowing an agent or two from Hellsing to fill in for a missing AMP officer. The AMP is an all-female unit, so Seras is the natural choice. The question is, should I include Girlycard?

Walter was 14 in 1942 (the time of Hellsing: The Dawn). Integral is 23 in 1999 (the time of Hellsing, although I write Shine as if it's in 1997). Do your own calculations from there ^_~
I'd love to see a Silent Möbius/Hellsing crossover, because Rally is the Integral of the future. (I saw the first 75% of the series on Tech TV, dubbed, and I'd love to see the whole thing in subs. Unfortunately, it's been long enough that I'd need to watch it from the start again.)

1999...hmmm. That is the year of the Project Gaia disaster when Gigelf accidentally wiped out a good piece of humanity (or, rather, Ganossa screwed with a plan to save the Earth and wiped out much of it). At least, that's the year given in the manga; I forget if the TV series gives '99 or '97.
So. Walter was born in '28 and Integra in '76. I'm not sure if that's going to come into play for me, but thanks for the info.

Oh, FF.net's still alive and kicking (users in the rear). I just like the people at MM.org more and they allow you to upload original works to the same account, which is pretty handy for people who do both. Among other things, MM.org has actual people (slowly) checking reports about fics and fanart that violate site policy.
Truth be told, though, I mostly go to MM.org for the forums. Very active, with a population that's crazy in a fun way.

So the Gigelf disaster and the Millennium invasion coincide? That's fic fodder right there.

I believe that the mess with Gigelf and Ganossa occured at the beginning of July, but I do not know when the Millennium invasion occurs. It would probably require some fudging of dates to make it all fit together (or I could pretend there's no such problem and only mention events a dozen years or so later, after some rebuilding).
By the way, am I the only one who thinks that Maxwell's troopers look like Klansmen in those high pointy hoods?
